Our meeting rooms come in various sizes and styles. They are ideally located, close to Bury St Edmunds town centre, the train station and also in close proximity to the A14.

You do not have to be a member of The Farmers Club to hire one of our conference or meeting rooms; however our members do enjoy fantastic discounts on room hire, food and beverages at the Club and are also able to use our Members car park.

The Northgate Room

The Northgate Suite

The Northgate Room is situated on the first-floor* of the Club.  It benefits from large bay windows, providing good natural daylight.  The room dates back to the 1350s and has some lovely beamed characteristics and a wooden floor.

Near to this room is our Lower Lounge area, offering a casual and relaxed area for teas, coffees and light refreshments to be served.

*As a Listed Building, unfortunately we do not have a lift or disabled access to our first-floor rooms.

The Garden Room

The Garden Room is another light and airy Victorian ground floor room with a wooden floor and historic features. As its name suggests, it has doors opening onto our terrace and garden.

This room interconnects with the Club Room and, through that, with our larger and elegant Regency Restaurant to cater for larger capacities and functions.

Floor Plan

The Regency Room

The Regency Room is a very grand ground floor room. Strangely, it was built in the 1820s within the fabric of the old C15th building.

The Regency room will impress your clients of guests – and has ample space for most corporate or family events, especially if used in conjunction with the interconnecting Club & Garden rooms.

The Lower Lounge

The Lower Lounge

The Lower Lounge is a magnificent space in the oldest part of our building. It is located on the ground floor but there are five steps down to it from the level of our main entrance.

It oozes character and provided a wonderful setting for a lunch for a dozen or so, a drinks party, a presentation of even a small theatrical event.
